The ‘Nature of Geometry’, as a body of work, is an abstraction of natural form via triangulation. This is meant to be a commentary on the simultaneousness strength and fragility in nature as well as a juxtaposition of macro and micro scales.
The triangular framework of each piece is methodically drawn one line at a time, following the organic contours of the subject matter, revealing an abstract network of cells. Each cell is then filled with a gradient of color; sometimes generated by up to 5 individual colors per cell. Once complete, the resulting artwork is dyed on to a brushed aluminum surface adding yet another layer of dimensionality and visual dynamism.
